"My success story begins when I moved to Florida from Minnesota two years ago. I was working out and watching what I ate when I lived in Minnesota, but when I got to Florida my healthy habits started to slip. I did not belong to a gym and would eat out more than I was used to. Six months after I moved I stood on the scale and realized I had gained over 30 pounds. I knew I needed to make some major changes. I tried working out at the small fitness center at my apartment complex and tried to eat healthier, yet nothing changed.

I began training with Ali in September of 2007. On our first training session we talked about my activities, my eating habits, and we made some realistic goals to work towards. Because of my schedule, I was only able to train one day per week, but she would coach me on other workouts to be doing on my own both in and out of the gym.

Along with the workouts she helped me with my eating habits. We talked about what I have been eating and what changes I needed to make. She told me how many calories I should consume during a day and which foods would be the best to eat. After a few weeks of working with Ali I was seeing the results I was hoping for. Ali was able to motivate me more than anyone ever had. I was able to lose 20 pounds with Ali’s help and everything I have learned from her.

In February my boyfriend and I got engaged and we scheduled our wedding for next May. Now I had a date to reach my goal weight. I continued working out with Ali and lost 20 more pounds. With her help I know I will be able to lose the last 10 pounds before my big day in May.

Ali continues to amaze me with all of her knowledge and experience. I’ve seen trainers in the past who promote healthy living as their job, but for Ali its more than her job, it’s how she lives everyday. Through my experiences with Ali I have gotten more than just a personal trainer, I have a friend who can motivate, encourage, and help me reach my goals. She encouraged me to run a 5K last February and I decided to try it. My goal was to finish, and to run the whole time. I finished in 33:43 and ran the whole way. A few weeks ago I signed up for the Jingle Bell Run in St. Petersburg. This time I had a more specific goal. I wanted to finish in less than 30 minutes. With Ali’s help before and during the run I was able to finish in 28:30.

I would definitely recommend Ali to anyone. She has so much experience and such a passion for a healthy and active lifestyle. I have learned so much from her and cannot thank her enough for all of her help and encouragement."
